A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lyon is a magnet for history and architecture lovers. Vieux Lyon, the Fourvière Basilica, the Musée des Confluences: each site tells a different story. From Effet Lodge, you can easily reach the city and let your curiosity guide you.
Nature and wide open spaces
From the house, explore the banks of the Saône, Île Barbe or the Monts d'Or. Between wooded paths and golden panoramas, the walks offer a breath of fresh air just a few minutes from the center. A great way to discover the region in a different way, at your own pace.
You can use your car, a bike or, ideally, public transport – it’s all very easy from home.
The Les Ormes bus stop, just a few meters away, is the stop for the 20 or 71 to the Gare de Vaise metro station. The D metro line serves Vieux Lyon, Place Bellecour and the entire TCL network. It takes around 15 minutes to get to Vieux Lyon.

Our pool is heated in the spring as soon as the temperatures become stable between day and night, and until September, depending on the weather.
For insurance reasons, only our guests are allowed to use the swimming pool.
We have 4 private parking spaces, and there are plenty of free spaces on the street right next to the house.
Saint-Cyr-au-Mont-d’Or offers a verdant setting on the outskirts of Lyon, ideal for walks in the Monts d’Or, discovering its picturesque villages, its panoramic views over Lyon and the Saône, and its fine restaurants and wine estates.
